THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: EXTENDED TIMELINE THEORY (UPDATED) – CADENCE OF HYRULE PLACEMENT

Εικόνα
Here we are again. Theorizing and adding new – even fanmade – stories of the Zelda franchise into a chronological order. This post, is created so it can fix my older one (look it up on my blog if you want) from the wrong Cadence of Hyrule placement on the extended timeline. After playing the game myself, I think the proper place of this story is after Four Swords and before Ocarina of Time. “But why?” I hear you ask. Well let’s get to the points that led me to that conclusion. The Legend of Zelda: Cadence of Hyrule (Story #4 in the Era of Legend) In Cadence of Hyrule, the Hyrule Kingdom isn’t at its glory as we can see it after Ocarina Of Time, in most of the titles, it looks like it just started building itself like we see in Minish Cap and in Four Swords. Also monsters roam free on the field, showing that there is no army and fortifications yet to send monster off the country. In this game we meet with Deku Tree, but in the forest are living Deku Scrubs and not Kokiri...

ECONOMICAL ANALYSIS OF THE ZELDA UNIVERSE

This subject, is something that has come to my mind for the last few weeks, re-playing some of the older games and the new releases of Cadence of Hyrule and of course Age of Calamity, I would like to get to the Economy of the countries in the Legend of Zelda Universe. For scale we will use the maximum amount of Rupees our hero can hold in each and every game. We will start from the first game that we actually have an established Hyrule Kingdom (so Skyward Sword is out), where the maximum amount of Hyrulean Rupees is 999, let’s call it 1.000 so it will be easier for us in the future references. So in the Newly established Hyrule, 1.000 Rupees is a great amount of money, making the holder of them, as rich as they can get. Some years later, in Ocarina of Time, the richest Hyrulean can hold 500 Rupees. This means that a person can carry half the amount of Rupees compared to the Minish Cap Hyrule. So what does that mean? It means that with the prosperity of Hyrule and the ...

THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: THE MISSING LINK REVIEW

Εικόνα
So I finished the new Ocarina of Time patch-expansion. The Legend of Zelda: The Missing Link and I'd have to say, that was a really great Zelda expirience. First of all, the story is a direct sequel taking place after Ocarina of Time and right before Majora's Mask. A journey of Link, to find a Fairy-capturing demon who lives in the Deep Woods and destroy him so he can protect his friend, Navi, who left him at the Temple of Time, right after the seal of Ganondorf in the future. So the lore is great. Saria makes a huge appearance (NO SPOILERS), the Deep Woods before Termina look amazing and the whole "Zelda atmosphere" is right there. It's a great followup to the original game and it could literally be a DLC, if DLCs existed back in late 90's. As for the gameplay, it is a great expirience, with great music, really good puzzles and some fighting using the Sword Beam (which was missing from the 3D Zelda games until Skyward Sword), nice mini-quests to drive...
