  I finished recently the Main Quest of Age of Calamity and as always I would like to express my opinion on the new Zelda experience that Nintendo offered us. For the ones that live under a rock with a Korok, it’s not a regular Zelda game, but a Hyrule Warriors title, with a lot of hack and slash, battlefields and lots of Champions to choose from. So if you remember my Hyrule Warriors Legends review – if you don’t look it up on my blog – I really love warfare in the Zelda Universe and seeing a Breath of the Wild prequel like that, made me so hyped about owning and playing that game. So after finishing the Main Quest let’s move into the review about the things I liked and the things that I would change. First about the things that I liked about the game: 1. This one is a given. I love fantasy warfare, the battles were amazing and the whole “war atmosphere” was right there. So if you at least liked Hyrule Warriors then you will LOVE Age of Calamity. 2.   A few days before, I uploaded a review after playing my first ever CDi Zelda game, “Faces of Evil”. Of course I played the remastered version, created for the PC which fixes a few of the problems the original had. To be specific the remastered version has: 1. More polished graphics 2. Better controls (You can use a pc or an xbox controller and configure the controls of the game). 3. Unlimited continues, making death less annoying than the original game. 4. A hintbox method you have on your controller, so you will never be misguided. 5. A hero’s mode that you can play after finishing the Quest in Normal mode.   To be fair I can’t say many things that I liked or disliked, like I do to most of my reviews just because, Wand of Gamelon was the exact same game with Faces of Evil, with a few differences here and there.   Well hello. Huge Zelda fan here, with a collection of every single game, manga and book here. I love Zelda lore, I love Zelda's Universe and their history behind. I played BOTW last year due to some problems I had that didn't let me buy the console and the game the moment it came out. But it eventually it worked out.   The whole feeling that I was left with was .... meh.   I'm not saying it's a bad game by any means, I'm just saying it's not Zelda. It was an open-world mediocre adventure with Zelda skin.   I know many will not accept my way of thinking but listen to this. Zelda was always innovative. Bringing new style of play to every game and never was afraid as a franchise to take a risk and change the whole game from the last one. This was a thing from the early years of the franchise.   I just refinished the Legend Mode of Hyrule Warriors and I want to put my thoughts about the game out there. Also I want to note that I played the 3DS version while I have all the DLCs of the game.   Also I will comment mostly on the Legend Mode. Adventure Mode is a whole different game which always is a plus to the whole "Hyrule Warriors" expirience.   First I wanna start with the things I liked about the game: 1. It's the first time we see warfare in Zelda gameplay. Other times is either hinted it's happening (f.e. Twilight invasion in Twilight Princess) or it's just history that you learn about via reading or talking to NPCs. 2. The new antagonists, Cia, Volga and Wizzro are great and fresh characters to Zelda lore. Their backstory seems interesting with Cia being a witch that oversees the balance of the world, Volga being the leader of Lizalfos and can transform into a dragon and Wizzro who is a Wizzrobe-Poe that lives inside a cursed Blue Ring t...
