THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: EXTENDED TIMELINE THEORY


 



First of all I want to add, that this theory is standing on my expirience of the games and some facts I found around the internet from fans that I agreed on and it is combined with the official timeline that Nintendo has offered over the years.

Let’s get into the additions:

 

The Legend of Zelda: The Missing Link (Story #1 in the Child Era)

This fan-made game, doesn’t need any explanation why it's there. If you have played it, you know. If you haven’t, PLAY IT.

 

The Legend of Zelda: Dawn and Dusk (Story #3 in the Child Era)

Another fan-made game, that takes place in a forgotten kingdom that is far away from Hyrule. Link in that story isn't the recarnation of the Hero but a descendant of a Prince of that land. I put it there because it fits in the whole "Dark vibe" there is in "Child Era" after Hero of Time visited Termina, or the Dark Hyrule of the Twilight Princess but really it could fit anywhere to be honest.

 

The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Warriors (Story #1 in the Unified Timeline)

Hyrule Warriors has a place in the Zelda timeline in my opinion. It solves the parallel universe problem, by unifying into the one and single universe that Breath of the Wild takes place at the moment. Yes its story may be confusing at moments and leaving many questions to the player-viewer, but the existence of characters from all three timeline branches (Adult, Child, Hero is Defeated) means that regardless of the timeline, everything was leading up to this turning point.

PLUS, Hyrule Warriors sequel being an official timeline game that works as a prequel to Breath of the Wild, seems like Nintendo is backtracking to make Hyrule Warriors franchise official-timeline title. Like they did at some point with Triforce Heroes.

 

The Legend of Zelda: Candence of Hyrule (Story #2 in the Unified Timeline)

Well it’s here where things are tricky for me. Since this is a title I haven’t played yet (I am waiting for the physical release), I had to search about it online from fan’s theories. The one that came as close as it could, was that Candence of Hyrule is a prequel to Breath of the Wild, because we can see the Sheikah technology all over Hyrule. The only moment that happens in Zelda Universe is in the Unified timeline, before Breath of the Wild. Maybe I will change opinion on that later, but so far it is the only satisfying answer I could get.

THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: DAWN AND DUSK REVIEW

  I finished the Ocarina of Time romhack-expansion Loz: Dawn and Dusk and I can say it was good. Not "Missing Link"-kind of good, but good overall.   First I wanna say things I liked about it: 1. The textures were well-made, the music covered nicely the whole eerie atmosphere of this new country and its dark history. 2. I loved the intro of the game explaining the story of this new land and its amazing artwork. It made me want to find out more about this land. I always liked Zelda games that were taking place in other lands and countries except Hyrule, making me to want to learn about this place and its inhabidants. 3. The Red Cavern Dungeon was really challenging and thought out by the creators. I really enjoyed it and got frustrated at the same time. Although its boss can be killed in one hit, but I can live with that. 4. There were nice puzzles all over the land, which were optional. You can finish the whole game without getting all the heart pieces, the metal

ZELDA-CEBO #1: BLUE FIRE REVIEW

  Hello fellow Zelda fans. Long time no read. I’d like to introduce you to this new section of my blog, “Zelda-cebo” which is a placebo treatment for us Zelda fans that want to play some Zelda inspired games since we may have finished every Zelda game out there (official or mod). So the first episode of “Zelda-cebo” will introduce you to a 2021 game that I had the opportunity to play and finish recently, named “Blue Fire”. So what is “Blue Fire”? It’s a fast-paced, action adventure platform, puzzle, dark fantasy, game. In more simple words it’s a game that you would take if you combined Zelda, Hollow Knight and Dark Souls. As far as the story goes Blue Fire takes place in the desolate kingdom of Penumbra, a land consumed by dark forces. The kingdom was once a prosperous land, but has been overrun by malevolent force and it’s up to our hero to save his world. Now as always let’s get into my review about the things I liked and the things that I would change about the game.
